As the ancient capital of Dorset, Sherborne is rich in history and culture and The Eastbury Hotel is conveniently located just a short stroll from the town centre.

The lovely winding high street has all sorts on offer from boutique fashions through to fine art and antiques. Of particular note is the medieval Abbey set in a commanding position right in the centre of the town. Sherborne Castle and the medieval ruins of Sherborne Old Castle are located just to the East.

A short drive away are the National Trust properties of Montacute and Stourhead and Tintinhull Gardens. Family friendly days out include The Haynes Motor Museum and The Fleet Air Arm Museum. For walkers and cyclists there’s a multitude of stunning local trails including the North Dorset Trailway and routes through the Blackmore Vale and the Dorset Downs with many conservation areas and sites of special interest.

A little further afield is Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, now a World Heritage Site, and just under an hour by car.
