Close to the Somerset border and on the River Yeo it is full of history and stunning honey-coloured brick buildings. Which you can not help but fall in love with. Previously the capital of Wessex it has a history dating back to at least the 12th century. It makes a wonderful day trip and is one of the best towns we have visited in Dorset.
